Aim and Scope:
“Medical hypothesis discovery and innovation in ophthalmology” is an international peer-reviewed (double-blind) journal published since January 2012.
We publish basic and clinical science studies related to ophthalmology as well as evidence-based ideas and hypotheses, look for discoveries, new modalities of treatment, innovative instruments, and manuscripts that contain creativity and ideas in visual sciences.
Published manuscripts should have not been accepted or will not be published elsewhere. Manuscripts should be devoid of any ethical problems or malpractice.
This journal is currently abstracted and indexed in PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Chemical Abstracts, Ulrich’s database, and ProQuest. The Journal follows ICMJE and WAME ethical principles. In case of any ethical malpractice (fraud, plagiarism, etc.), we treat based on the guidelines of WAME, ICMJE, COPE, and all principles presented on the journal webpage.

Article Processing Fee:
The Journal receives no government, educational, charitable, or any other kind of funding. We do not accept advertisements. Therefore, we publish the journal based on the article processing fees obtained from the authors. Submission of a manuscript and peer-review processes are free of charge. An article-processing fee applies only to accepted manuscripts. If a paper is accepted for publication, the authors need to pay a publication processing fee equal to 4800 EURO before proof.
We are committed to making research publishing accessible to all authors, regardless of financial circumstances. A Publication Fee Assistance Initiative is being piloted to support authors who cannot afford Article Processing Charges (APCs). Assistance may be requested at the time of submission. Applicants may be asked to provide details of available funding sources, such as grants, institutional support, or library funds, and are encouraged to explore these options first. All requests are reviewed confidentially and kept separate from the editorial process. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific quality, originality, methodology, ethics, and relevance. Support is assessed case by case, based on need and available resources. Approved applications may receive a reduction in fees. Submission does not guarantee approval, and late requests are not considered. All information is treated as strictly confidential.
